Friday - backdated

[Isamu is having a distinct feeling of deja-vu. This isn't the first time he's been dropped off after a kidnapping not far from home, drugged enough to make the trek difficult but still conscious enough to attempt it.

Once at the door, he stops to lean his forehead against it, hoping some of the dizziness will wear off. It's some time before he finally decides to just knock. If he falls inside when the door opens, then so be it.]

Saturday

[Wanting to clear his head some, Isamu attempts to work at Seventh Heaven as usual. Bouts of drowsiness keep creeping up on him, however, and he's continuously nodding off while leaning against a counter or slumped at a table. Forget having him actually carry food out to a table. Not unless you want to lose half of it on the way there, anyway.

Frustrated, he'll spend the latter part of his shift slouching in a booth.]

Sunday

[It's hard, but he manages (he thinks) to slip away from Richard for a while, heading down to the battle dome in order to vent. This wouldn't be a bad plan in theory if he could actually get any of the programs to work. Should anyone walk in on him at this point, they'll find him pounding his fist into one of the consoles. He's not even doing any damage to it, so it's mostly just to make himself feel better (which it's also failing at).]

((ooc: Isamu's mallynap effect is that he won't be able to do most things on his own for a while. He will be increasingly grouchy because of this.))

Of course. If you had siblings, you still would not understand why that isn't funny, but the beatings would have eventually taught you to stop saying it.

[Isamu laughs. If he'd had siblings he might have come out completely different, but that's neither here nor there.]

[Keep laughing, Isamu. Don is coming at you again, throwing all his weight behind a punch.]

[Isamu focuses purely on dodging this time, watching the turtle's movements. No attempts to grab or punch him or anything else.]

[Don lunges past Isamu, then attacks from the rear with a spinning kick. He won't be caught off-balance again.]

[Isamu aims to meet the kick with one of his own, which in retrospect isn't as good of an idea as he originally thought given their difference in size (and his lack of training) and he's knocked to the side somewhat.]

[Don finishes the kick and leaps forward, aiming to knock Isamu over with an elbow-jab.]

[Isamu lets himself fall from the stumble, as it's the easiest way to avoid the elbow even if it means he has to roll quick to get back to his feet again.]

[Don gives Isamu time to get up, but only just. The teen had better be ready to dodge another punch as soon as he's on his feet.]

[He wasn't even expecting to be let up, so he's ready for any attack that follows. Or rather he knows an attack's going to follow and he hopes to be ready for it.

Isamu slips to the side, just managing to keep his feet under him, and goes for a counter.]

[Don tries to block, but misses.]

[He is really hating today.]

[When his punch connects, Isamu automatically tries to follow up with another one. No sense in letting a possible opening go to waste.]

[Don misses that block too, but then grabs Isamu's wrist and throws him to the ground, probably harder than he should.]

[Well this isn't as planned at all.

Isamu gives a startled cry as his arm is wrenched and he hits the ground hard, wind temporarily knocked out of him. He doesn't try to get up again just yet, nor can he gather the breath needed to call the round off.]

[It doesn't matter. Don is done. He sits heavily on the ground, resting his head in his hands.]

...Ow.

[Isamu finally gets that out, then pulls himself up into a sitting position.]

...You okay, man? Really?

Fine.

[I.e., not fine.]

Did I hurt you?

I'll get over it.

[He rubs at his arm.]

But you don't seem "fine" to me.

While I was invisible, Robert was getting high. He never noticed I was there.

People typically don't when you're invisible.

[He frowns.] Robert's your boyfriend, right? Is this something he used to do a lot?

Carbon did.

Yes, but he told me he didn't do it any more.

Did he think you were gone for good? Or did he know you were missing at all?

No, the irony is that he was largely doing it because he knew I had been kidnapped.

And there's nothing that happened before that could have driven him to it? He wasn't affected by anything himself?

[Just trying to look for anything that might make it seem less like a betrayal.]
