So I didn't... miss anything, right? I didn't fall into a coma and sleep away Valentines? Did I just miss everything?

I'm going to assume I missed everything in my solitude somehow, because there's little chance that nothing happened. You see, I would have to be worried if nothing happened because that would mean that they might want to make up for it later and no one wants that.

Therefore, I want to know everything terrible that happened to you guys while I was blissfully ignorant. Come on, regale me.

Ah, but science was often misinterpreted as magic by those incapable of understanding its mechanics. I simply need to find the underlying cause here, and then much can be explained.

Yeah, I would think so. Considering there was a bunch of demons running around and most could use some form of it.

Do tell! This has always been such a fascinating subject to discuss - not the religion part, but the concept of evil, the demons, the things people created and put into their stories to explain what they could not.

It wasn't all that pleasant. The world kind of just "ended" and those creatures were everywhere.

I think Tokyo was in its own sort of weird sphere of existence.

No, it's... I don't know how to explain it.

It was sort of an in-between time where the future of the world's development was left up to a handful of people who were at ground zero. Really it was just supposed to be this one guy's thing, but I think our teacher had us show up on purpose or something.

So...you all released the demons into the world? Or was that the doing of this one man you are referring to?

I don't know! They were all just suddenly kinda... there. And the people weren't.

Like bright light and - BAM - everything's changed. You know?

Huh? Nah, I doubt it.

They seemed like they'd always been that way.

That's good...I'd rather not think of what it would mean for the world if a flash of light could cause humans to transform.

It's far more likely that a temporal rift opened and allowed the creatures to take over the places of the human beings, sending their human counterparts to the other world.

Uh... I guess that's an idea.

Well, that's a morbid hypothesis. Not that I can blame you - if it wasn't for my experience in the area of trans-universal theory, I likely would have thought the same.
