[Isamu is in the kitchen, searching the refrigerator while his journal lies open on the counter.]

Hey, Sanji. We're probably gonna be busy tonight, right? So you'll need me to come in?

[There's the hiss-pop sound of a soda can being opened.]

Unless of course there's some girl out there who really wants to be asked out by me, but I'm not holding my breath.

[At last Richard pulls away, curious, trying to gauge Isamu's reaction to the kiss.]

Was that not what you wanted...?

I...

[He fidgets.] I'm just not any good at the romantic stuff.

[And now Richard is smiling again, amused.]

That at least is something that can be fixed with practice, and you did a fine job as it was just now.

[Isamu just blushes again.]

Uh. Thanks.

[If Isamu doesn't stop doing that, Richard is going to want to kiss him again at this rate. That blushing is ridiculously cute-- but there's some part of his mind that's wondering when he ever started thinking of Isamu as "cute."]

I suppose this is the part where I say "Happy Valentine's Day"?

Heh... Guess so.

I'd say just knowing how you feel is more than enough of a Valentine's Day gift for me. But if it truly bothers you that much...

[Bah.] Well, spit it out.

Well, uh... [Isamu reaches for his glass and takes a long drink from it.]

[Waaaaiiiiiting.]

[Just gonna sit here fidgeting with his glass and looking awkward.]

Isamu?

[It's a gentle, curious prompt.]

[He clears his throat, and that turns into a nervous chuckle.] I'm just really not any good at this. This is all too mushy for me.

[Yeah, he's starting to see why you haven't had much luck with women, Isamu. But it's still cute, at least to him.]

That's all right. Practice makes perfect, after all, and we'll have plenty of time for that.

R-right.

[Come on, liquid courage. Isamu frowns, suddenly getting himself determined, then scoots his chair around so that it's right next to Richard's.]

[Well now. Richard smiles, scooting his own chair closer, and just waits to see what Isamu is going to do.]

[Once again red in the face, Isamu pauses before just resting his head on Richard's shoulder.]

[That's fine; Richard will just lean his head against Isamu's. After a moment, he'll reach out with his hand to find the other's.]

...

[...All right. Fuck this.]

[Isamu isn't really the gentle, hugging sort. He moves quickly, meaning to straddle Richard's lap.]

[... well. Hello there. Richard is surprised, but very much not protesting this-- in fact, his hands will move to settle themselves on Isamu's waist as he's straddled, but he refrains from doing anything more just yet.]

[Now that he's here, he can't back down. So he does this kissing this time. Roughly.]

[Okay, that really shouldn't be as exciting as it is, but Richard will be returning that kiss happily with equal roughness. See, Isamu? It's not that hard when you put your mind to it.]

[The kiss is drawn out for some time before Isamu releases it. He leans forward to nuzzle into Richard's collar immediately after and digs his nails through the fabric of the back of the blond's shirt.]

[Richard can't help the soft, pleased sound that slips out of him when he feels those nails-- he wants to take this at Isamu's pace, but damn if that doesn't feel good. He'll show his appreciation for that by leaning forward to nuzzle at black hair, smiling.]
