[Richard is quick to pull back, looking at once flustered and embarrassed and not meeting Isamu's eyes. Perhaps that was too forward after all, since neither one of them actually REMEMBERS anything about being married.]

Forgive me... I don't know what came over me. I should have asked before doing something like that.

Uh. Well. I think it's fine? I mean... I guess we're married.

You figure the cards are telling the truth, right?

Even if they aren't, I'm not sure we have any choice other than to believe them for the moment. It's better than having nothing at all. And... at least some of it just feels right.

[musubi]

I guess...

But boy, aren't we going to feel silly afterward if it isn't. [He gives a little awkward laugh.]

[ledbythewind]

[... he has a point. A very good point, meaning Richard will just take another step back to make sure that he isn't inadvertently standing too close.]

I suppose you're right. Perhaps we should refrain from that sort of thing until we do manage to get our memories back.

...Well, it's not like I'd hold anything against you. We can't remember anything, after all.

But I mean, we don't know either way. Could be perfectly truthful.

[He does like this hat.]

Which do you think it is?

[He's honestly curious, if only for the reason that some of the things he's done and said so far himself just feel right somehow, like they really are the truth.]

[He rubs at the back of his head.]

I guess it's best just to assume they're true for now.

[ledbythewind]

We don't have to if it makes you uncomfortable.

[He can understand why it would, after all. While being married to a man feels right to him, it may not be the same for Isamu.

To hide his awkwardness, he'll just start looking around for some pants to go with the shirt.]

Nah, I mean... the main discomfort is not being able to remember shit. Aside from that, I think I'm okay with going along with the cards.

[He nods-- that much he agrees with.]

I'm glad. I'd prefer to go along with them as well, at least until we find a way to regain our memories. But I wonder... how do they expect us to do so?

[musubi]

Don't look at me. It's not like either of us will be able to remember what caused it.

[ledbythewind]

Something tells me that may be for the best.

Maybe... But it still makes things difficult.

[ledbythewind]

... my card also told me that I'm some sort of superhero.

[Honestly, THAT part sounds like it will be the most difficult. What is a superhero supposed to do, exactly?]

...Really now?

[Now Isamu's look turns incredulous.]

Did it tell you if you had any powers?

[ledbythewind]

Unfortunately not. It looks like I'm going to have to discover that part on my own.

[musubi]

I guess pushing you out of a window to see if you can fly isn't a great idea, huh?

[ledbythewind]

Not unless you put a mattress on the ground beneath it first.

[musubi]

I think you'd just bounce off.

I thought that was supposed to be the idea.

But you're so bony it might hurt a lot anyway.

Maybe if you flapped those little wings a lot.

[ledbythewind]

[... there's a thought.

And cue Richard trying to do just that to see what happens. He actually does manage to lift himself about an inch off the ground!]

Whoa. Huh.

...That's kinda more like hovering, though.

... I'm not sure that will be of much help for a supposed superhero.
